My name is Julie Barker and I am a licensed esthetician.  I received my esthetics training at MCA Skincare Academy in Wellington, Texas, under the direction of Amber Solis.  I have always been curious about skincare and how to make my skin better, however, my interest increased when I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in my twenties.  By then, I was a working mother who lived far from any esthetics school, therefore never felt able to follow after an esthetician certification.  I was blessed to learn about MCA Skincare Academy, where I was able to do part of the program online and in person. I want to continue my education and always stay on top of the latest products, modalities, and ingredients, in order to best serve my clients.  

I live in Quanah, Texas, with my husband Nick, daughter Peighton, and son Bowen.  We have one son, Brady, who is in college and living the dream!  I have many hobbies which include writing children's books and spending time with my family.  

Julie Barker Skincare is located in The Vine & Co., 1609 Main Street in Vernon, Texas.  The Vine & Co. has been a labor of love with my sister and mother.  We have been given the opportunity to work together to bring a new business to Vernon, which includes all three of our talents.  Along with Julie Barker Skincare, The Vine & Co. includes my sister Kimberly Horn, OTR, and her rehab company Therapy Outfit, as well as my mother Carolyn Altman and her art gallery Carolyn Altman Art and Glory Bee Baby.  We are excited to provide Vernon and the surrounding area with spa therapy, rehab therapy, and retail therapy, all in one building!
